Penn State Paranoia - BCS palpitations!
Bill's blog from November 7, 2008:

Sitting at 9 – 0 on the season and third in the latest BCS and AP rankings is great…right? Not really and lot’s of Penn State folks are rightfully nervous. There are just too many good SEC and Big 12 teams still alive for the national championship.
Consider this: Texas Tech (9 - 0) wins out and beats whoever wins the Big 12 North. The Red Raiders are playing for the national title. Suppose Oklahoma (8 – 1) or Oklahoma State (8 – 1) upend Texas Tech. No problem either one will win the Big 12 and play in the championship game.
The other half of the title game goes to the SEC under virtually every scenario. Alabama (9 – 0) can run the table and end any suspense. If Florida wins the SEC title game regardless of whether Alabama is undefeated or not when they get there, the Gators fill the other half of the Championship game.
So there you have it: possibly two "one-loss" teams meet as it's SEC vs. Big 12 playing for the national title and undefeated Penn State is packing for Pasadena to play USC in the 2009 Rose Bowl. Penn State Paranoia indeed!!!!
